Blue-bellied Roller

Coracias cyanogaster

Animals of Africa Back
Blue-bellied rollers can be found in groups of 3 to 7 individuals. They are highly social, often engaging in several activities with each other, anywhere from chasing to defending territory together. As part of courtship, males and females will take flight, rolling around in the sky while calling out to each other. However, during nesting, this species can become aggressive, attacking any bird that may approach.
